THE OPPORTUNITY
As founding faculty in Chemistry, you will design the curriculum and build the wet-lab infrastructure — general, organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry — for a new university, while establishing a research program that can feed directly into Daanish's bioengineering, materials, and agri-food Grand Challenge Institutes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and teach core and specialised chemistry courses across the curriculum Establish teaching and research laboratories, including safety protocols, equipment procurement, and chemical-handling systems Build a research program in materials, green/sustainable chemistry, analytical chemistry, or biochemistry Collaborate with the Agri-Food Systems, Bioeconomy & Rural Transformation and Natural Resources & Energy institutes Mentor undergraduate research and lab-based capstone projects Help recruit founding colleagues and shape department and university governance WHO WE SEEK

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field A research record in an area of chemistry relevant to materials, energy, environment, or life sciences Experience or strong readiness to set up laboratory infrastructure and safety systems in a start-up environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Industry or applied research experience in materials, green chemistry, or biochemistry Experience designing wet-lab courses or safety programs from scratch Interest in agri-food, sustainability, or rural-transformation applications relevant to Pakistan
