We are seeking reliable, customer-focused individuals to join our team as Front of House Assistants within our campus food outlets.
These roles offer consistent part-time work during the academic year (February to November) and are well suited to people seeking regular daytime hours that can align with school schedules or other commitments.
In this role, you will provide friendly and efficient service to customers, including taking orders, preparing and serving food, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. You will be part of a supportive team that values professionalism, teamwork, and high service standards.

We are looking for people who are:
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Friendly and approachable, with a strong focus on customer service
- Comfortable working in a structured and busy environment
- Able to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with colleagues
Previous experience in hospitality or a customer service role is an advantage, but not essential. We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds who bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
About our team | Mō te tīma
This position is based in Central Production Kitchen, within the University Union’s College Catering Department. We’re bringing delicious flavors to The Link in the University Union Building, The Rolling Taco, Uncle Hong’s, and The Noodle Lab with our vibrant pop-up food shops. Our goal is to offer customers a quick, tasty, and unforgettable bites while creating a welcoming atmosphere.

These are permanent, semester time only positions (38 weeks a year, February to November), located in Dunedin, commencing 13/07/2026.
The appointment range is for this role is $26.43 per hour to $27.48 per hour.
You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for these positions.
Hours of work are 20 hours per week on a rostered basis, predominantly Monday to Friday, from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
