- Position Title: FSU- Gateway to Research Opportunities Workforce (FSU-GROW) program coordinator/Academic Coach
Primary Purpose of the Organization
The FSU-GROW program coordinator will report directly to the program director to assist in the administration, and implementation of activities and strategies to achieve program goals. This includes coordinating, academic coaching, and overseeing program activities; maintaining trainee records, submitting requisitions for orders, repairs, and other services; maintaining budget; making travel arrangements; overseeing the program’s office; maintaining inventory; program webpage; scheduling seminars, workshops instructors, or speakers; assisting in planning and execution of university STEM program activities; recruitment and retention, process program applications; and complete other reasonable tasks assigned by director. Candidates must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; be able to evaluate and prepare written documents, pay attention to details, be innovative, show initiative, and be available to travel to conferences and annual retreats as needed by the program. The position also requires some driving as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
A bachelor’s degree is required, but a master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. A degree in a STEM-related field and supervisory experience are also preferred.

- Ability to pay attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting an academic program.
- Experience working advising or coaching students.
