The Institute of Low Temperature Science (ILTS) at Hokkaido University invites applications for a Full Professor position within the Water and Material Cycles Division. As an inter-university research institute, ILTS promotes interdisciplinary studies on various natural phenomena occurring in the cryosphere. The Water and Material Cycles Division investigates water, material, and energy cycles and their variability in the climate system with a focus on cold regions.

We are seeking a candidate who will conduct research related to atmospheric science in the cryosphere and low-temperature environments, and who is capable of proactively promoting collaborative research with other fields. Candidates are expected to understand the role of the inter-university mission of ILTS and are required to carry out educational duties at the Graduate School of Environmental Science, Hokkaido University and supervise graduate students.
