Full Professorship (W3) of
Bavarian History and Comparative Regional History
with special focus on the Modern Era
(Chair)
commencing on 1 October 2027.
The professorship at the Department of History represents Bavarian history of the modern era in research and teaching in its entire breadth, with cross-epochal and comparative perspectives. The directorship of LMU Munich’s Institute of Bavarian History is associated with the professorship. The willingness to cooperate in existing research projects with non-university research institutions is expected.
Prerequisites for this position are a university degree, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements and a productive and promising research program.
