Comply with FERPA, ADA and other state requirements in the handling of student records. Perform other duties related tasks as assigned Minimum Qualifications/ Required Degree, License or Certifications High School/GED Two years' experience in a higher education, medical, and/or counseling office setting Minimum Competencies Good organizational skills, flexibility to handle unexpected situations, attention to detail Excellent listening and communication skills. Effectively using these skills with tack and diplomacy Proficiency computer skills; processing reports and spreadsheets Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to Blinn College's mission and purpose, teaching and learning, high academic standards, and student success. Ability to work within a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or higher educational degree Three years' experience in a higher education, medical, and/or counseling office setting Experience in working with students that have disabilities (neurological, psychological, or developmental) Preferred Competencies Ability to interface with and communicate effectively with deans, directors, chairs, faculty, students, potential students, and parents. Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to serve students in an adequate time frame. Ability to plan ahead, managing time well, being on time and thinking of better ways for continuous improvement. Special Notes To Applicants Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include after hours, weekends, and some travel during peak times of the year. This is a 40 hours per week, on-campus position. You must be able to perform the essential duties in person. This is a 12 month, benefits-eligible position.
