Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Full-Time Custodian position-3rd Shift. The Full-Time Custodian maintains a clean and sanitary environment at the College.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Education/Training/Work Experience:

High school diploma, GED, or 1-2 years’ experience required
Valid Driver’s License required

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

Must be physically capable of performing all duties on job description
Must be able to communicate effectively

Additional Information Required:

Ability to read, write, and follow routine instructions
Ability to work within a team-oriented setting

Physical Requirements:

Functions as part of the emergency response team and is expected to work when the College is closed, for emergencies.
Must be able to lift trash containers weighing up to 30 pounds and deposit bags in larger trash containers on trash cart.
Must be able to perform bending, stretching, kneeling repetitive movements such as those involved in sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, washing walls & chalkboards, cleaning/sanitizing restrooms, or shoveling snow.
Must be able to perform repeated bending of knees and kneeling for extended periods of time while removing accumulated buildup from baseboards and edges of walls and floors.
Must be able to perform repeated climbing and balancing on ladders for extended periods of time while changing lights, high-dusting ball lights, window ledges, etc.
Must be able to push & pull and lift & carry for extended periods of time while delivering and moving equipment and supplies.
