Full-time Faculty in MD Program
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Full-time faculty members in the MD Program will be responsible for teaching, research, clinical supervision, and service. Faculty members will contribute to the academic development and accreditation of the medical program and play an active role in shaping the future of medical education in Vietnam.
Teaching and Learning:
- Facilitate interactive lectures, small-group discussions, case-based learning, and integrate clinical relevance into foundational sciences.
- Design and conduct simulation sessions, debrief learners effectively, and ensure alignment with learning outcomes and assessment standards.
- Guide students during ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and bedside teaching, emphasizing patient-centered care, professionalism, and clinical reasoning.
- Develop, implement, and grade assessments across all phases (written, simulation, workplace-based), providing constructive feedback for learner growth.
- Act as a professional role model, support student well-being and career development, and foster reflective practice throughout the curriculum.
Clinical and Academic Integration:
- Connect basic sciences concepts to clinical practice to support integrated medical education.
- Collaborate with other faculty to ensure clinical teaching content is well-aligned within the MD curriculum.
- Maintain professionalism and ethical standards in all teaching activities.
Research and Scholarship:
- Conduct research in biomedical sciences/medical education/clinical.
- Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at academic conferences.
- Seek opportunities for research collaboration and funding to support scholarly work.
Service and Leadership:
- Participate in departmental and program committees, contributing to academic planning and decision-making.
- Support curriculum development, evaluation, and accreditation activities.
- Promote medical/clinical education and contribute to community engagement initiatives in health sciences.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Join us if you have:
- Education: A Master’s degree (minimum) or a Doctorate (preferred) in Clinical Medicine/Medical Education or a closely related field from a recognized institution. Completion of residency training or equivalent.
- Professional License: A valid medical practice license/certificate.
- Teaching Experience: Prior experience teaching in a higher education or clinical training setting.
- English Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English (VinUniversity is an English-medium instruction institution).
- Additional Skills: Strong commitment to innovation in teaching, collaboration, continuous improvement, and student success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in curriculum development and program accreditation.
- Familiarity with international standards such as WFME or similar.
- Evidence of research publications or funded research projects.
- International teaching or clinical experience is a plus.
