"Full Time Faculty - Management"

The Fermanian School of Business (FSB) at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) is seeking qualified candidates for a Professor of Management. The position is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position beginning in August 2026. The ideal candidate must be academically qualified to meet ACBSP accreditation standards.

Responsibilities begin in August 2026 and will include teaching a variety of courses in Management. We are interested in management professors with expertise in one or more areas of interest, including project management and strategy.

Management faculty must have knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques appropriate to be effective with undergraduate, graduate, face-to-face, and online teaching. They are also expected to have knowledge of ways to instruct, manage, motivate, and evaluate students, as well as do the following:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate Management courses in a variety of modalities
• Advise and mentor students academically, professionally, and spiritually
• Participate in departmental activities and governance
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including FSB assessment and engagement in professional development
• Serve on university faculty committees and perform other normal faculty duties
• Engage in scholarship
• Involve students in research or professional experience as appropriate
• Work strategically with diverse colleagues, students, parents, and community members

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or DBA earned or in progress in Management or a closely related area.
• Demonstrated experience as an instructor in management.
• Commitment to continuous improvement through reflective teaching practices.
• Commitment to ongoing professional activity and scholarship.
• Respectful member of a team-driven and collegial environment.
• An active and maturing faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to PLNU as an intentional Christian community in the Wesleyan tradition.

• Undergraduate, graduate, and online teaching experience
• Experience teaching diverse student populations
• Relevant business experience

Salary: PLNU pays its faculty using a pay scale based on experience and academic rank. Faculty salaries using this scale for a 2-semester appointment range from $77,357 to $133,945.
