Harold Washington College is seeking a candidate for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position teaching Engineering Physics and related courses. This position will support the Department’s commitments to the City Colleges of Chicago School of Engineering. If you have passion for teaching and learning and are committed to the community college mission, consider joining our department. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in the classroom by developing and using effective teaching strategies that meet students’ diverse needs and engage students in critical thinking and problem-solving. They will also value collaboration, actively contribute to an inclusive and supportive departmental culture, and engage in the exchange of ideas, resources, and best practices with colleagues across disciplines in support of student success. We seek faculty who are committed to fostering meaningful partnerships within the department and throughout our college community.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Teach the spectrum of lecture and laboratory-based physics courses to meet learning outcomes and promote students’ active participation in their own learning.
