About Us:

The School of Translation Studies, located at Jinan University’s Zhuhai Campus, was established in 2010 based on the former Department of Foreign Languages and Literature of Zhuhai College. Our translation discipline, originating in 1927, has a rich history and has been home to many renowned translators, including Ye Gongchao, Liang Shiqiu, Qian Zhongshu, Xu Guozhang, Weng Xianliang, Zhang Luanling, and Tan Shilin. The School offers an undergraduate program in Translation, a master’s program in Translation (jointly with the School of Foreign Languages), and a master’s program in Translation Studies for international students.

Japanese teaching position:

1 teacher

Required qualifications:

• Native Japanese speaker.
• Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Japanese language teaching, linguistics, literature, education, cultural studies, or a related field.
• Preference for candidates with university teaching experience.
• Good physical and psychological health.
• No alcohol or drug addiction or other undesirable habits.
• No previous criminal record.
• Friendly, compatible, easy-going, with good communication skills and a good team-player.
• 24-60 years old.

• Recommendation Letter: If you have teaching experience in China, please provide a letter concerning your teaching experience from the former employer, on the letterhead of the referral’s organization.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering lessons such as “Japanese Listening and Speaking”, “Japanese Writing”, “Intercultural Communication”, “Japanese Literature”, and similar subjects to students.
• Instructing students at the Japanese language corner.
• Participating in activities organized by the school.
