The Language Education and Research Center (LERC) at Kyushu Sangyo University invites applications for a full-time lecturer position in English language education.

Work content and job description
The successful candidate will teach courses in the Global English Programme, which aims to develop students' English communication skills and help them achieve TOEIC score targets appropriate to their proficiency level.

Compensation
Annual salary: 5 million yen
Salary will be paid in accordance with our university's salary regulations.
Working hours: 08:50-17:30
Holidays: Saturdays and Sundays, in principle. Attendance may occasionally be required on designated Saturdays for make-up classes or other university duties.
Overtime and other explanations: 10 classes per week. Canceled classes must be made up through face-to-face instruction on designated make-up days. Actual duties and workload are governed by the university's regulations concerning faculty responsibilities and teaching load. Subject to institutional needs, faculty members may be permitted to conduct research from home, provided this does not interfere with their assigned duties.

Contract period: Nontenured
Contract period description: One year renewable. The contract may be renewed annually for a maximum cumulative period of ten years. Contract renewal is subject to periodic performance evaluations conducted every three years.
Probationary period: Probationary period absent

Bonus: Payments are made twice a year (summer payment in July, winter payment in December). The amount of the payment will be determined considering the school's financial situation, etc.
Transportation expenses: Employees with a one-way commuting distance of 2 km or more are eligible for commuting expense reimbursement. Reimbursement is based on the cost of the most economical six-month public transportation pass. Expenses are reimbursed in full up to JPY 45,000 per month; amounts above this threshold are reimbursed at 50%, subject to a maximum reimbursement of JPY 50,000 per month.
Insurance
Employees' Health Insurance: Coverage provided through the Promotion and Mutual Aid Corporation for Private Schools of Japan (PMAC; Shigaku Kyosai).
Employees' Pension Insurance: Enrollment in the PMAC pension system.
Worker's accident insurance: Provided.
Employment insurance: Provided.
Others: Additional Benefits: Summer special leave, year-end and New Year holidays, maternity leave, childcare leave, and family caregiving leave.
