"Full-Time Lecturer - Information Systems"

Job Summary

This position will serve the mission of Morgan State University and the Earl G Graves School of Business and Management through the activities of teaching and service. The person holding this position will be responsible for developing and teaching online and face-to-face undergraduate and graduate level courses in Information Systems, for MBA, and BS degrees.

Job Duties

The candidate will have shown expertise in areas of Information Systems (such as Data Visualization, Data Analytics, AI, ML). The candidate will participate in Department, School, and University committees. Teaching assignments will include courses in our Master’s program in Data Analytics and Visualization, doctoral and undergraduate courses in Data Visualization, Data Analytics, AI, ML, and depending on background and qualifications, may include courses in computer literacy, management information systems, computer networks, cybersecurity, systems analysis and design, project management, supply chain management, and enterprise information systems (SAP). Engagement in multidisciplinary work with faculty with very diverse backgrounds is anticipated. Faculty must maintain a regular minimum of 9 hours of office hours on campus.

Required Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a graduate degree (doctorate preferred) in Information Systems, or related disciplines such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering. Prior work experiences that use related skills are desirable, though not necessary.
