Full-time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer and Faculty Director, International Studies

The Lauder Institute offers a distinctive model of graduate education that combines the analytical rigor of the School of Arts and Sciences with advanced language training, deep cultural and regional expertise, and their application to complex global business challenges; students receive a joint MBA-MA in two years. Lauder students develop the ability to analyze international markets, political and economic developments, and cross-cultural environments through interdisciplinary coursework that bridges the social sciences, humanities, and international business alongside language training. A hallmark of the program is its regional immersion model, which provides students with opportunities for intensive international travel experiences that connect classroom learning with direct engagement with business leaders, policymakers, alumni, and local communities around the world.

The Faculty Director will join the senior leadership team at the Institute and teach international studies (INTS) courses that bring the analytical rigor of the School of Arts and Sciences to contemporary global business questions through interdisciplinary perspectives such as comparative politics, political economy, economic history, and regional studies. The successful candidate will be an intellectually engaged scholar and educator whose research and teaching illuminate the intersection of global business, politics, economics, culture, and society. In addition to teaching, the Faculty Director will serve as the principal academic and administrative leader of the international studies core curriculum, overseeing its development, delivery, assessment, and continuous improvement. Working closely with Institute leadership and faculty, the Faculty Director will ensure coherence across coursework, regional programming, experiential learning opportunities, and the master's thesis, while helping to develop curricular innovations that reflect Lauder's distinctive integration of language training, cultural fluency, and business education.

Appointment as a full-time Lecturer is for a period of one year with possibility of renewal for up to two additional years contingent on satisfactory performance review and Dean's approval, and a fourth year, pending Provost's approval.
