Full Time Math Instructor

Miles Community College is seeking a full-time Math Instructor to teach in areas including, but not limited to, Statistics, Algebra, Algebra for Nursing, Precalculus, and Calculus. Miles Community College is in a period of growth and momentum, with increasing student enrollment and new academic leadership energizing the campus. The College is committed to a positive, student-centered culture that also prioritizes the well-being and professional success of its faculty and staff.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in working in a rural community college environment with a student engagement focus, along with the ability to develop curriculum and teach in multiple venues, including classroom, HyFlex, and online formats.

This is a full-time, nine-month teaching appointment that is renewable annually based upon satisfactory job performance. Initial placement on the salary schedule is dependent upon academic credentials and creditable work experience. The contract start date is August 24, 2026. Overload and summer teaching opportunities are available. The College provides a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications: This position requires a Master’s degree in Math or related field. Effective public and interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to the role of the community college are a must. Successful prior teaching experience is desired. Preferred experience includes teaching experience at community college/university or K-12 institutions and experience in hyflex and online courses.
