Candidates must have experience as instructor or teaching assistant of at least one college level course. Effective communication skills. Strong evidence of potential for scholarship. The applicant must demonstrate empirical research skills appropriate for, and commitment to, developing a research stream in the field of Finance. Preferred:- PhD or DBA from a school/college accredited by AACSB, EQUIS, or AMBA, with a curricular emphasis in the field of Finance.
- Experience independently teaching multiple elective courses in Finance or closely related fields, at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Experience or interest in teaching or research in the area of Real Estate Finance.
- Full-time high level industry work experience. High level experience is defined as holding a position with significant operational decision-making and/or managerial oversight authority.
- Experience teaching courses with community embedded student projects.
- Published in peer-reviewed journals in the area of Finance.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary to effectively fulfill service responsibilities to students, colleagues, the department, school, campus, and community.
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) related topics and/or tools in teaching that enhance discipline specific industry applications.
About the DepartmentThe Labovitz School of Business and Economics (LSBE) is AACSB-International accredited and housed in a state-of-the-art building. Approximately 1,600 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled in the school's programs. There are approximately 50 full-time faculty members in four academic departments: Accounting and Finance, Economics and Health Care Management, Management Studies, and Marketing.
The School offers a Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and MBA degrees.
