Offer Description

The University of Alcalá (UAH) is offering one full-time research position within the project "Respuestas plásticas y genéticas en individuos y poblaciones del rango nativo e invadido de una planta cosmopolita", funded by the Community of Madrid (reference CM/DEMG/2024-011).

The project focuses on evolutionary ecology, particularly adaptation and phenotypic plasticity in biological invasions.

Main responsibilities

Maintenance of common garden and reciprocal transplant experiments.
Measurement of biological traits in plants from experimental settings and natural populations in situ.
Data processing.
Preliminary analysis of the collected data.

Employment conditions

Number of positions: 1.
Contract duration: 2 months.
Expected starting date: 5 October 2026.
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time).
Gross monthly salary: EUR 1,989.30, including the proportional share of additional salary payments.
Funding organisation: Community of Madrid.
Project reference: CM/DEMG/2024-011.

The selected candidate will work under the supervision of Dr Jesús Villellas Ariño.
