Funded PhD Studentships in Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences
King’s College London is offering funded studentships in the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences (NMES) for PhD study in departments: Chemistry, Engineering, Informatics, Mathematics, and Physics. Fields include Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics (Disordered Systems/Financial Mathematics/Probability, Theoretical Physics), Pure Mathematics, and Statistics.

Funded Studentships: EPSRC Studentships (code: EPSRC 2026-27) in all departments; STFC Studentships (code: STFC 2026-27) in Mathematics and Physics. Funded for 3.5 or 4 years, stipend £22,780 per annum (including London Allowance, rising annually). Limited international fee waivers available. Other funding from industry, Centres of Doctoral Training, supervisors, or NMES Research Centres. See department webpages for details.
Self-Funded Studentships: Welcomed with Research and Training Support Grant (RTSG) for training, conferences, and research costs.
Entry Requirements: Refer to chosen PhD programme. All PhD students expected to engage in departmental activities, including teaching (with training and payment).
