Gabis Temporary Support - Grounds Worker

relationships and encouraging volunteer engagement at the Arboretum. Repairs fencing, picnic tables, benches, gates, walls, and walks as needed. Performs custodial functions of Gabis Facilities such as cleaning restrooms, lobbies, offices, etc. Adheres to all safety regulations while operating equipment. Assists in the maintenance of equipment as needed. Snow removal and salt application during the winter. Other duties as assigned. Event Support Performs on-site event set up, break down, and cleaning. Assists with events and facility rentals as needed Education High School Diploma/GED Experience Minimum of 6 months related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. Experience operating various equipment such as mowers, hand and power tools is preferred. The ability to identify some trees and weeds is preferred. Some basic mechanical knowledge is preferred, such as checking oil, checking and filling equipment with correct fuel, and recognizing engine issues or failures. Previous knowledge or experience in snow removal, either manual or mechanical equipment based. FLSA Status Non-Exempt
