Established Neurosurgery Program | Full-Scope Practice | Group Call | Competitive Compensation
AdventHealth Daytona Beach and AdventHealth Medical Group are expanding their established Neurosurgery program and seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neurosurgeon to join five experienced surgeons.
This opportunity offers broad general neurosurgery with the ability to help develop Functional Neurosurgery services throughout the AdventHealth East Florida Division.
Clinical Opportunity
- Full-scope general neurosurgery
- Functional Neurosurgery
- Treatment of movement disorders, Parkinson's disease and epilepsy through deep brain stimulation and other appropriate therapies
- Stereotactic surgery
- Craniotomy and spinal procedures
- Minimally invasive and endoscopic surgery
- Open surgery, microsurgery and peripheral nerve procedures
- Dedicated Neuro ICU with epilepsy monitoring
- APP support in inpatient and outpatient settings, including nights and weekends
- Group call and cross-coverage model
- Non-trauma hospital environment
- Opportunity to help expand the Neurosurgery program
- Planned additional operating room capacity
Practice and Hospital
The primary practice location is AdventHealth Daytona Beach, a comprehensive hospital serving the Volusia and Flagler County communities.
The hospital offers Neurosurgery, a dedicated Neuro ICU, epilepsy monitoring, open heart services, bariatric surgery, comprehensive cancer care and other multidisciplinary resources.
AdventHealth Medical Group's employed practice model and experienced management team provide operational support so physicians can focus on clinical care.
Ideal Candidate
- Board certified or board eligible in Neurosurgery
- Board certification or eligibility through the American Board of Neurological Surgery
- Experience or interest in Functional Neurosurgery
- Experience with deep brain stimulation and stereotactic surgery preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative, patient-centered approach
