ANNOUNCEMENT regarding the organization of the competition for the position of General Director at the National Research and Development Institute for Pathology and Biomedical Sciences "Victor Babeş", Bucharest
The National Research Authority is organizing a competition for the position of General Director at the National Research and Development Institute for Pathology and Biomedical Sciences "Victor Babeş", in accordance with the provisions of Government Decision No. 743 of 18 September 2026 approving the Competition Methodology for the position of General Director at national research and development institutes, published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, No. 804 of 22 September 2026.
The National Research and Development Institute for Pathology and Biomedical Sciences "Victor Babeş" is headquartered in Bucharest, 99–101 Splaiul Independenţei, Sector 5.
The Institute’s field/object of activity is fundamental and applied research in the fields of human pathology, medical genetics and immunology, and cell and molecular biology, in accordance with the provisions of Government Decision No. 984/1999 on the establishment of the National Research and Development Institute for Pathology and Biomedical Sciences Victor Babeş, published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, No. 588 of 2 December 1999, as subsequently amended and supplemented.
Candidates must cumulatively meet the eligibility requirements for participation in the competition provided for in Article 17^2(1) of Law No. 183/2024 on the status of research, development and innovation personnel, as subsequently amended and supplemented.
The documents required for registration are those provided in Article 9 of the Annex to Government Decision No. 743/2026 approving the Competition Methodology for the position of General Director at national research and development institutes.
