Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst
Job Details
Johns Hopkins Public Safety is seeking a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst who will be responsible for activities associated with the department’s GIS databases, applications, and tools. The GIS Analyst is involved in creating, maintaining, and supporting GIS data and related products, including maps of campus, documentation, and geospatial web applications.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Interface with other University-wide data interest groups to promote awareness of data resources, products and services among staff and University offices through outreach and embedded activities.
- Develop and lead instructional sessions for Johns Hopkins Public Safety staff about the use of various GIS data resources and tools.
- Publicly present, explain, and demo departmental GIS or data topics and products in person and/or virtually at small, medium, and large events.
- Manage, edit, deliver, and support GIS, SDE, and SQL databases and related datasets.
- Produce detailed maps on request by extracting and manipulating data from GIS databases.
- Other duties as assigned.
