Hiring Range:$754 to $1,034 a credit hour (depending upon education and experience)

Full Time or Part Time:Part Time

Job Description:

Mountain Gateway Community College is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Adjunct Instructor of Geography. This position will involve teaching a variety of geography courses to a diverse student body in a supportive learning environment at our Clifton Forge campus.

Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate courses in Geography as assigned, ensuring course objectives and outcomes are met.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments.
• Facilitate an inclusive and dynamic classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with students regarding their progress.
• Collaborate with other faculty and staff to support the academic mission of the college.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• A Masters degree in Geography or a related field, or a Masters degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Geography.
• Commitment to teaching excellence and a passion for fostering student learning.
• Ability to engage students in both traditional and experiential learning opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
