Position Summary

This Geo-Health Internship Program Teacher Leader positions will do their work in Robeson County, in support of our project.

The Geo-Health Internship Program Teacher Leader positions will provide Master of Arts/Master of Arts in Teaching (MA/MAT) students opportunities to: (1) deepen their knowledge of geoscience and environmental health, (2) pilot hands-on activities with curricular connections (to NC Essential Standards for Science) that introduce geoscience and environmental health topics, and (3) enhance science teaching practices. The positions will meet regularly with the project team and when possible, engage graduate students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNC-P) to support activities and expose students to STEM professionals and STEM education careers.
