Your Role on the Team

At the UCI Health Chao Digestive Health Institute, we are driven to provide unparalleled care for diseases and disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, which are among the most prevalent conditions contributing to illness and death among Americans today.

Our institute's more than 40 world-class physicians and 100 additional healthcare professionals are leaders in the early detection of disease and the delivery of advanced and minimally invasive treatments that reduce recovery time. Our focus is on healing the whole person, to develop individual care plans for each patient to meet their unique needs.

We are one of the few medical institutions in the nation - and the only one in Orange County - to provide state-of-the-art care for the full range of digestive diseases, including disorders of the esophagus, liver, pancreas, colon and rectum, and stomach.

This new contract position is an extension of the division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the new Irvine hospital, Orange or other locations.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required:

  • Demonstrated experience in quality improvement to improve patient outcomes
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives while in compliance of all UC policies and procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all state and federal privacy laws
  • Leadership skills; ability to motivate, inspire, communicate with faculty, residents, staff, and peers to maintain a professional, team-based approach in the care of patients.
  • Board-certified and have California licensure.
  • Active and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification.
  • Experienced in providing and/or oversight of care.
