School Introduction
The School of Science and Technology Business at Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology is committed to a strategic development approach of “innovation and openness, rooted in the Greater Bay Area, internationally leading, interdisciplinary engineering, and distinct characteristics.” It is a newly established business school with a high starting point and high positioning. Leveraging Shenzhen’s geographical advantages and SUAT’s strengths in scientific and technological innovation, the School responds proactively to the emerging demands of the digital economy and the development of new quality productive forces. Recruitment Positions and Responsibilities
(I) Dean (1 Position)
Job Responsibilities:
- The Dean will be fully responsible for the establishment and early-stage development of the School, formulating and implementing its medium- and long-term strategic plans in close alignment with the University’s overall strategy. The Dean shall provide comprehensive leadership in the School’s development, administration, and academic advancement, ensuring the effective execution of its mission and vision.
- The Dean shall lead the development of an interdisciplinary academic framework for “New Business and Management,” actively expanding and integrating key resources from government, industry, and leading academic institutions both in China and abroad, thereby laying a solid foundation for the School’s sustainable growth and long-term excellence.
- The Dean will lead the recruitment of world-class faculty and oversee the development of a high-caliber academic team, building a diverse, international, and globally competitive faculty with strong influence and recognition both in China and worldwide.
- The Dean shall lead the School in pursuing internationally recognized accreditations such as AACSB and QS Stars, with the goal of comprehensively enhancing the School’s global academic reputation, teaching quality, and brand influence.
Qualifications:
- The candidate should possess internationally recognized academic standing and influence in fields related to business and management, demonstrate outstanding strategic foresight and a broad academic vision, and have a clear and mature blueprint for establishing a distinctive, world-class business school.
- The candidate should have substantial experience in senior leadership roles at renowned universities or research institutions, possess a deep understanding of the principles and practices of higher education, and demonstrate strong organizational, strategic management, and transformational leadership abilities.
- The candidate should have a profound understanding of the strategic significance of interdisciplinary integration between science, engineering, and business, possess strong capabilities in resource integration and external collaboration, and be able to effectively connect academic, industrial, and international networks to advance the School’s innovation and development.
- The candidate should demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial spirit, resilient pioneering mindset, and exceptional execution capability, with the ability to face challenges with determination and drive the successful realization of the School’s strategic goals.
- The candidate should possess a broad international vision and a profound understanding of the strategic needs of the nation and the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.
(II) Associate Dean (1 Position)
Job Responsibilities:
- The Associate Dean will assist the Dean in overseeing the daily operations and management of the School, with primary responsibility for one or more key areas such as disciplinary development, scientific research, talent cultivation, and international collaboration.
- The Associate Dean shall lead the implementation of the School’s medium- and long-term development strategies and key decisions, ensuring the high-quality and efficient execution of all academic, research, and community engagement activities.
- The Associate Dean will assist the Dean in improving the School’s internal governance structure and administrative processes, fostering a culture of excellence and inspiring motivation and creativity among faculty and staff.
Qualifications:
- The candidate should possess strong academic achievements and a solid academic reputation in disciplines related to business and management.
- The candidate should have relevant experience in university administration and demonstrate strong organizational, coordination, communication, and teamwork skills.
- The candidate should have a deep understanding of the School’s development strategy and demonstrate strong project execution and process management capabilities.
- The candidate should possess a strong sense of service and teamwork, demonstrate dedication and commitment to excellence, and exhibit a high level of responsibility and professionalism.
(III) Chair Professor, Distinguished Professor, Full Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor (several)
Job Responsibilities:
- The candidate is expected to undertake teaching responsibilities for high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses, demonstrating a strong commitment to education and student development.
- The candidate is expected to carry out cutting-edge scientific research and strive to achieve original and internationally leading research outcomes.
- The candidate is expected to actively participate in the School’s disciplinary development, academic activities, and community engagement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- The candidate should demonstrate high standards of academic integrity and professional ethics, possess a solid academic background, and show strong potential for future scholarly development.
- The candidate should have demonstrated outstanding achievements in their research field and be capable of independently conducting innovative and original research.
- The candidate should possess strong teamwork spirit as well as solid teaching and research capabilities.

- Copies of identification documents (ID card or passport), academic and degree certificates (from the earliest qualification onward), professional title certificates, award certificates, and official appointment letters should be provided. Applicants who obtained their degrees abroad must submit copies of degree and diploma certifications issued or recognized by the Ministry of Education of China.
