1. Candidates are required to have a high level of academic achievements, having obtained a set of high-quality original research results in the field of the respective discipline. They should possess significant recognition and academic influence both domestically and internationally.
2. Candidates should hold a professional position at a renowned domestic university or research institution, or hold a position of associate professor or above at a prestigious overseas university or research institution.

High-level Young Talents

1. Zijiang Outstanding Young Scholar (Young Leading Talent):

1. The candidate should hold a doctorate degree, preferably with a formal faculty position at overseas universities, research institutions, or corporate research and development institutions, and have a continuous work experience of more than 3 years. For those who have obtained a doctorate degree overseas with outstanding achievements, the work experience requirements may be appropriately relaxed.
2. The candidate should be capable of teaching core undergraduate courses, have outstanding academic achievements, possess strong team leadership and coordination skills, demonstrate great potential for innovation and further development, and have the ability to promote or lead the relevant discipline towards a world-class level.
3. The age limit is generally not exceeding 40 years old. For candidates in the humanities and social sciences, the age limit may be flexible.

2. Zijiang Young Scholar (Top Young Talent):

1. The candidate should possess a doctorate degree, ideally with 1 year or more of postdoctoral research experience. For those who have obtained a doctorate degree overseas with outstanding achievements, the work experience requirements may be appropriately relaxed.
2. The candidate shall have achieved internationally recognized high-level research results, demonstrating outstanding development potential, and the prospect of becoming a young talent in the respective discipline.
3. The age limit is generally not exceeding 35 years old. For candidates in the humanities and social sciences, the age limit may be flexible.

We welcome overseas outstanding young talents to apply for the 2024 National Excellent Young Scientists Fund Program (Overseas) and related talent programs based on the university. The specific requirements are as follows:

• 1. Born on or after 1 January 1984;
• 2. Hold a doctorate degree;
• 3. Main research direction is in natural sciences, engineering, etc.;
• 4. After obtaining the doctoral degree and before 15 April 2024, the applicant should have held a formal teaching or research position at overseas universities, research institutions, or enterprise R&D institutions, and have more than 36 consecutive months of work experience. For those who obtained a doctorate degree overseas and have outstanding achievements, the work experience requirement may be approximately relaxed;
• 5. Have scientific research or technical achievements recognized by peer experts, and have the potential to become academic leaders or outstanding talents in the field;
• 6. The applicant has not yet returned to China to work full-time, or returned to China to work after 1 January 2023. After being notified of the fund, the applicant must resign from overseas work or have no job overseas and work full-time in China for no less than 3 years.
