"Graduate Advising Assistant"

Position Summary

Provide support to the Recruitment and Admissions Manager and the Associate Director of Student Services in the Social Work department.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Respond to questions from prospective students regarding the MSW program
• Meet with prospective MSW program students who would like to learn more about the program
• Help facilitate MSW program information sessions
• Provide additional support to the Recruitment and Admissions Manager in the Social Work department, as requested
• Conduct weekly registration reviews and updates in the MSW program student list
• Conduct pre-requisite reviews for prospective MSW program students
• Correspond with non-degree seeking graduate students to guide them through the process, expectations, and registration
• Provide additional support to the Associate Director of Student Services in the Social Work department, as requested
• This role is 30 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• MSW degree
• Previous experience working at MSU Denver

Salary

The Hourly Rate for this temporary position is $30.00 per hour. This position is a Temporary position that is not benefits-eligible. This position also requires enrollment in a PERA retirement account.
