Graduate DPAP Summer Assistant (Student)

Summary:

Summer Student Assistant (15 hours/week) would be employed during the Summer 2026 term, May 11 – August 8, 2026. Primary duties involve data entry of MPA/MPP Exit survey responses, initial analysis of the entered Exit Survey responses, and coding of Internship Surveys into DPAP’s MPA/MPP Internship Database.

Essential Functions:

  • Data entry of MPA/MPP Exit survey responses – enters and codes approximately 150 MPA/MPP student exit surveys from hard copy to electronic Excel database.
  • Conduct basic analysis of Exit Survey responses once entered.
  • Data entry of Internship Surveys – works with supervisor and, if needed, MPA/MPP academic advisors to enter data from Internship forms onto an Excel database.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Part-time.
  • 15 hours per week.

Salary Range:

  • $19.50 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Current graduate student status.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with data analysis software such as STATA.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Data survey entry to be completed on campus.
  • 0 - 2 years of experience with related tasks.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • All AU graduate students are eligible to apply for this position, with a preference for those students with a Federal Work Study award.
