About the Opportunity
Job Summary
The Graduate Program Coordinator supports the Multidisciplinary Graduate Engineering (MGEN) unit's programs team in enhancing student, alumni, faculty, and industry engagement through strategic communication, data-informed initiatives, and event coordination. The role contributes to student success by developing informational materials, managing outreach platforms, and coordinating events that strengthen the student experience and programmatic reach.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Student & Alumni Engagement and Communications
- Develop and manage initiatives to engage current students and alumni, including newsletters, event invitations, and program updates.
- Oversee the creation, scheduling, and distribution of content across internal platforms and external channels, including social media.
Event Planning and Coordination
- Plan and execute a range of student-facing (including alumni) and program-focused events.
- Manage event logistics from concept through execution.
Data and Operations
- Maintain and analyze engagement-related data.
- Track and report on digital content performance.
Program Support and Administrative Coordination
- Provide operational support for programs, including maintaining program materials and updating web content.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced coursework or interest in higher education, communications, or data analytics preferred.
- Experience with social media management, digital communications, and event coordination.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of data tools such as Excel, Banner, or other CRM systems.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
