a) QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences (Biomedicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent qualifications).
b) EXPERIENCE
Previous professional experience in a translational biomedical research laboratory.
Experience using bioinformatics and data analysis tools (FlowJo, BD FACSDiva, SPSS, GraphPad Prism).
Demonstrable experience in database management.
Specific Requirements
- Experience in biomedical research related to inflammatory bowel disease.
- Experience in biomedical laboratory and immunology techniques.
- Participation in scientific activities (projects, presentations, training courses).
- Intermediate to upper-intermediate level of English.

Benefits
The selected candidate will work on a full-time basis, amounting to 37.5 hours per week. The salary will be in accordance with the collective agreement of the “Grupo de Empresas de las Fundaciones de Investigación Biomédica de las Instituciones Sanitarias adscritas al Servicio Madrileño de Salud (SERMAS)” for the position advertised: 28.898,00 € gross per year. This contract is established in accordance with art. 23 bis de la Ley 14/2011 Contrato de actividades científico técnicas and is linked to the research project: “Fármacos para la enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal (EII) durante el embarazo y la lactancia: impacto en el sistema inmune de los niños”. This contract will be funded by resources from the unit allocated to the aforementioned project.
Eligibility criteria
The assessment criteria for this vacancy are listed below, with a maximum total score of 12,5 points:
- Experience in biomedical research related to inflammatory bowel disease (experience in IBD-related projects, participation in studies characterising the intestinal immune response through the analysis of cytokines, chemokines and other mediators, and completion of Bachelor’s Degree Final Projects [TFGs] and Master’s Degree Final Projects [TFMs] related to IBD): up to 2 points.
- Experience in biomedical laboratory and immunology techniques (processing and preservation of human biological samples, flow cytometry and multiparametric immunological analysis techniques, characterisation of cell populations and analysis of mediators): up to 2 points.
- Participation in scientific activities (research projects, presentations at scientific conferences and completion of training courses): up to 1.5 points.
- English language proficiency, with official certification at B2 level or higher: 1 point.
- Personal interview: up to a maximum of 6 points
Selection process
Applications meeting the qualification requirements and submitted within the deadline will be reviewed by a selection panel composed of three members (one Chair and two panel members). A curriculum assessment will be carried out for all applications received. Candidates will be scored according to the merits and experience demonstrated in relation to the requirements of the position. Subsequently, shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend a personal interview.
