Graduate Student Services Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:
Performs professional duties in one or more student services program areas at an institution of higher education.
JOB DUTIES:
Academic Progress: Advises graduate students on academic progress, policies, procedures, admissions, financial aid, engagement opportunities, and personal development. Identifies student issues and refers students to appropriate campus resources as needed. Assists with academic forms such as plan of study, probation forms, CPT forms, etc. Manages assistantship contracts and fellowship commitments for graduate students, liaising between faculty, students, and payroll staff to ensure students have completed the necessary steps to be hired in an accurate and timely fashion.
Creative and Communications Planning: Manage Chemical Engineering creative and promotional initiatives in partnership with MarCom. Identify and organize departmental content and design needs, develop initial conceptual markups, and project manage deliverables through the full creative process. Ensure all materials and activities align with college and university-level communication plans, including media outreach, promotional content creation, and management of the department social media channel(s). Maintain departmental websites and mailing lists, and promote seminars, symposiums, and innovation events through targeted communication channels.
Registration Coordination: Coordinates and manages course schedule development and input of the schedule into the University's scheduling system. Activities include adding/changing sections, managing capacities, adding instructors, adjusting or locating rooms, and setting meeting times. Assists in resolving registration problems including overrides, requesting a closed course, and registration errors. Interfaces with registration services to ensure all University rules and regulations are met.
Service: Participates in departmental, college, and university wide initiatives related to advising and student success by providing staff support, knowledge, and expertise to ensure a successful program. Assists with College recruiting and engagement programming as needed.

Coordinates graduate student support for ChBE, guiding graduate students in navigating resources, policies, and procedures related to degree progress, enrollment, and assistantship contracts. Serves as primary registration coordinator for all graduate and undergraduate sections in the department, and as backup coordinator for creative inquiry sections. Coordinates social media presence to assist in marketing of ChBE accomplishments, awards, happenings, and recruitment initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.

Expected salary range for this position is $39,300 - $53,100.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:
Expected Salary Range 43,100.00 - 53,100.00
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:
Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
