Positions as a university assistant holding a Diploma/Master's degree are limited to a duration of a four-year period. Positions as a university assistant holding a Doctorate/Ph.D degree are limited to a duration of a six-year period.
Job Duties:
- Research in the field of integration of mechatronic structural health monitoring systems for lightweight structures and development of associated measurement systems and sensors
- Support with acquisition and administration of third-party funded projects
- Academic teaching, including co-supervision of master's and bachelor's theses
Your Qualifications:
- Master or doctoral degree in the field of mechatronics or mechanical engineering
- Knowledge of and experience in the following topics: Strength of materials and structures, stability theory, finite element methods, CAD, structural design and lightweight design, composite materials, Measurement and Sensor Technology
- Very good command of German and English (spoken and written, level B2, include proof of proficiency with the application)
What We Offer:
- On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,776.10 gross per month as a Graduate Teaching Assistant holding a Diploma/Master's degree and € 5,014.30 gross per month as a University Assistant holding a Doctorate/Ph.D. degree (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
