Graduate Teaching Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master's degree) for a full-time, four-year position

Job Duties:
- Participation in the acquisition and execution of research projects in the research areas of the Institute of Technical Mechanics
- Participation in teaching including self-contained teaching of existing courses
- Support the administration of the research and teaching activities of the Institute of Technical Mechanics
- Completion of a dissertation
Your Qualifications:
- The candidate must have a completed university degree (Diploma/Master’s) in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Engineering, or a comparable technical field
- Willingness and ability to pursue a doctorate
- High level of motivation for academic work, as well as strong initiative and the ability to work independently
- Profound knowledge in Technical Mechanics – in particular, in the areas of continuum mechanics of solids, computational mechanics and machine learning
- Willingness to independently familiarize oneself with new subject areas and work on interdisciplinary issues (e.g. with regard to Medical Engineering)
- Excellent written and spoken German (at least level C1) and English (at least level B1) skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as an enthusiasm for collaborating with industry and research partners

- On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,776.10 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
