Primary Purpose of the Position
The Grants Administrator will be a member of the Office of Research & Innovation, reporting to the Associate Provost for Research & Innovation, and a liaison to the School of Health Sciences (SOHS), the College of Arts, Sciences, Business, and Education (CASBE), and/or the College of Business and Entrepreneurship (CBE), working with the respective Dean. post-award, and the granting agencies.
The Grants Administrator will work with Sponsored Programs pre-award staff to research, prepare, and submit grant proposals, and work with Sponsored Programs post-award staff to manage funded grants, assist in hiring and ordering, and administer reports that meet funder guidelines and criteria. The Grants Administrator will assist in grant writing/editing, managing external relationships, engaging in compliance reporting, and supporting special project initiatives. This position requires strong writing, data analysis, program budgeting, project management skills, with an emphasis on outcome measurement.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
- Demonstrated analytical and persuasive writing skills experience as well as superior editing skills, including ability to convey complex information in a clear manner to a diverse audience.
- Strong administrative skills and self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision in an effective and efficient manner.
