Under the supervision of the Director of Research Programs, the Post-Award Grants Coordinator will assist Principal Investigators (PIs) in the financial and administrative management of sponsored awards. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Post-Award Grants Coordinator duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Coordinate the post-award administration of sponsored projects, including the CUNY School of Medicine's NIH Research Centers in Minority Institutions (RCMI) award, from award setup through closeout, ensuring compliance with sponsor, CUNY School of Medicine, CUNY, and Research Foundation policies and procedures. Monitor grant expenditures, award balances, project periods, reporting requirements, and other post-award activities to support effective award management. Assist with post-award actions including account establishment, budget modifications, carryover requests, no-cost extensions, prior approvals, cost transfers, effort reporting, financial reporting, and award closeout documentation. Coordinate the preparation and submission of sponsor reports, including NIH Research Performance Progress Reports (RPPRs), financial reports, and other required sponsor deliverables. Coordinate Research Foundation personnel actions related to sponsored projects, including appointments, reappointments, onboarding, I-9 and E-Verify requirements, payroll actions, and personnel changes. Provide guidance to Principal Investigators regarding sponsored project administration, sponsor requirements, Research Foundation procedures, and institutional policies. Coordinate with the Research Foundation, Human Resources, Finance, City College Grants and Sponsored Programs, and sponsoring agencies on matters related to sponsored awards. Prepare reports, maintain post-award records, monitor compliance requirements, assist with audits, and support other sponsored programs activities as required. Serves on committees and convenes groups as needed; participates in relevant professional activities and continuing education in research administration. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Research Programs or designee. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree and six years' related experience required. PREFERRED: Master's degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in post-award research administration or sponsored programs. Demonstrated experience using the Research Foundation of CUNY's OneRF system to administer sponsored projects, including personnel actions, award management, financial transactions, and post-award administration. Strong knowledge of Research Foundation of CUNY policies, procedures, and sponsored project administration. Experience administering federally sponsored awards, particularly NIH, NSF, HRSA, and other federal agencies. Experience preparing sponsor reports, including NIH Research Performance Progress Reports (RPPRs), financial reports, carryover requests, prior approvals, and other post-award submissions. Knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200), the NIH Grants Policy Statement, and other federal sponsor regulations. Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA) certification preferred. Strong organizational, analytical, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW Manages college's grant development programs and operations. Manages grant development activities; writes grants, creates grant budgets and monitors compliance. Assists Director in implementation of grants; works closely and independently with grantors in resolving issues. Conducts prospect research; identifies, analyzes and cultivates potential funding sources. Guides faculty in finding appropriate funding sources based on discipline and/or research interest. Develops and conducts grants-related training with faculty and staff. May manage professional and/or clerical staff. Performs related duties as assigned.
