Ensures proper care of equipment, tools and supplies.
Collects trash and removes in appropriate containers.
Performs minor repair of equipment.
Assists with set-up and tear-down of outdoor stages, tarps,
tables and chairs.
Identifies maintenance or repair need and reports to
appropriate personnel.
Assists in special construction projects as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of maintenance and operation of grounds
equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Working knowledge of lawn maintenance, and of lawn maintenance
equipment use and repair.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse
backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity,
and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices
and knowledge in their work.

Work is performed primarily outdoors with exposure to various
temperatures and weather elements. Exposure to dirt, dust, fumes,

pounds, pushing or pulling up to 200 pounds. Work environment
involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require
following basic safety precautions. Repetitive use of hands.
Work Environment/Work Week/Travel:
The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
or Thursday to Monday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30
p.m.
Union membership required.
Valid driver's license required. Incumbent must also be able to
meet the University's fleet rules and be eligible to drive for
University business. The University and its insurance carrier
reserves the right to exclude applicants based on their driving
record.
Hiring Range: $22.50 per hour. This is a Union
position.
