Position Overview

Location: Manawatū Campus, Palmerston North

Are you passionate about field sports and love working outdoors? Join Massey University’s Campus Services Grounds team and help maintain our high-profile sports facilities while supporting the next generation of turf apprentices.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and prepare Massey’s sports grounds, turf, and amenities to a premium standard.
• Operate a wide range of turf and grounds equipment, supporting sustainability initiatives.
• Assist apprentices working towards their NZ Level 4 Sports Turf Management qualification.
• Support University and commercial events, ensuring facilities are match-ready.

What You’ll Bring

• A NZ Level 4 qualification in Sports Turf Management (or equivalent).
• A passion for outdoor work, sports turf, and delivering top-quality playing surfaces.
• Strong teamwork skills, reliability, and a positive attitude.
• Good English and Mathematics skills to support technical tasks.
• A clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
