Step into a dynamic casual role as a Group Fitness Reformer Pilates Instructor with Melbourne University Sport, where you’ll inspire a diverse community of students, staff, and members to move well, feel strong, and build sustainable wellbeing habits. You will deliver engaging, safe, and progressive Reformer Pilates sessions in a supportive, high‑performance environment that values professionalism, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
What will you deliver:
- High‑quality Reformer Pilates classes that cater to a range of fitness levels, abilities, and experience, with options for progression and regression
- Motivating, inclusive, and engaging group experiences that align with the Melbourne University Sport service standards and class formats
- Safe exercise delivery, including appropriate screening, technique coaching, and modification to support injury prevention and participant confidence
- Clear and professional communication with class participants, fostering a welcoming studio culture and strong member engagement
- Timely and accurate completion of any required administrative tasks, such as attendance recording, incident reporting, and equipment checks
- Collaboration with the broader fitness team to refine programming, support new initiatives, and contribute to a positive and professional workplace culture
You may be a great fit if you:
- Are a qualified Reformer Pilates instructor with relevant accreditation and current industry registrations (and hold, or can obtain, a current First Aid and CPR certificate)
- Have experience delivering group Reformer Pilates classes and can confidently coach a range of abilities in a single session
- Are passionate about movement, health, and wellbeing, and enjoy motivating others to achieve their goals in a safe and supportive environment
- Communicate clearly and professionally, and can build rapport with a diverse community of students, staff, and public members
- Are reliable, punctual, and comfortable working a rotating roster that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Value teamwork, uphold high professional standards, and are committed to inclusive and equitable practice in every class you teach

Your new team – Melbourne University Sport
You will be joining the Melbourne University Sport fitness team – a passionate, multidisciplinary group of professionals dedicated to enhancing the health, wellbeing, and performance of our student, staff, and broader community. We design and deliver high‑quality movement experiences, from group fitness and Reformer Pilates to performance training, all within a supportive, inclusive, and energising campus environment.
