Essential Job Functions
- Provides pediatric clinical mentorship and structured "shadowing" hours for BSW and MSW students.
- Coordinates student observation/practicum experiences in pediatric neurodevelopmental assessment and early intervention.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments with families of children referred for developmental evaluations or follow-up.
- Provide supportive counseling to parents and caregivers coping with new diagnoses, developmental concerns, and care needs.
- Assist families in accessing early intervention, therapy services, community programs, and benefits (e.g., SSI, Medicaid, IDEA Part C).
- Serve as a family advocate in multidisciplinary care planning and meetings.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, therapists, and family navigators to ensure coordinated, family-centered care.
- Identify and address barriers to care including housing instability, food insecurity, transportation, and mental health needs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with clinic policies and licensing standards.
- Participate in clinic case reviews and contribute to care planning and follow-up strategies.
- Track referrals and other data as needed for quality assurance and reporting purposes.
- Work with Parent 2 Parent Social Worker and Family Navigators to ensure families are supported and connected to appropriate resources.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-risk infants, NICU graduates, or children with autism/developmental delays
- Bilingual or multilingual (especially Spanish or languages commonly spoken in your community)
- Familiarity with IDEA Part C, IEP/IFSP processes, and family navigation models
- Trauma-informed care training or experience
Work Schedule/Hours: M-F, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
