Your Role on the Team
Position Summary: Incumbent works within the EIP program to monitor compliance of clinical staff and healthcare workers with appropriate Hand Hygiene practices. Responsibilities may also include, but are not limited to, data mining, data management, data analysis, and data reporting.
What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications:
- Understanding of and familiarity with web-based applications
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility and composure to coordinate multiple assignments/projects simultaneously with efficiency and timeliness
- Resourcefulness to identify and search for information that is not readily available
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Knowledge of anatomy and common medical terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of infection control techniques
- Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Computer skill and experience using MSOffice products, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and information systems in general, with the ability to manage and produce charts, tables, and graphs
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize daily responsibilities
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Ability to analyze situations, define problems, research and formulate conclusions and make sound recommendations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Experience in an academic medical center environment
