The Hope College Athletic Department is seeking a Christ-centered, inspirational leader to serve as the Head Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs. At Hope College, athletics is more than just competition—it is a vital environment for transformation of lives. The Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of directing, coaching, and administering two (Men’s and Women’s) competitive tennis programs. The ideal candidate will provide transformational experiences for student-athletes and promote academic success and competitive excellence in the program.
This position offers flexible scheduling options to accommodate both business operational needs and candidate availability. The final employment classification (full-time or part-time) will be determined during the selection process in mutual agreement between the candidate and hiring manager based on current departmental needs and the candidate’s preferences.
In either case, this will be a 12-month position with schedule flexibility when students are not on campus. A full-time position will include a benefits package and will have shared responsibilities between the Athletics Department and the Tennis Center on campus. A part-time position will not be benefit eligible and the work will be focused solely on coaching the Hope College Division III Men’s and Women’s Tennis Programs as outlined in this job description.
