The University sponsors 20 intercollegiate sports for men and women in addition to club and intramural teams, and a variety of recreational opportunities. Seahawk Student-Athletes distinguish themselves in the classroom as well as on the field. 50% of our student-athletes have consistently attained a GPA of 3.4 or higher over the last 6 semesters.
Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for the overall organization, coaching, instruction, supervision, and administration of an NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Tennis program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coaching, instructing and mentoring student-athletes in the rules, fundamentals, and team concepts of Men's & Women's Tennis.
- Provide a positive student-athlete experience in the Men's & Women's Tennis program.
- Planning, organizing, and coaching student-athletes in practice and competitive situations.
- Recruit talented and qualified student-athletes within the rules and principles of the NCAA and University while engaging in retention efforts.
- Engage in fundraising and Alumni relations responsibilities.
- Engage in community service events in efforts for building stronger community relationships.
- Exhibit the highest degree of good sportsmanship and professionalism, at all times.
