IT:U is a new technical university in Austria (Linz) dedicated to digital transformation, driven by interdisciplinary research and project-based learning to actively shape this transformation and advance it with a solution-oriented approach.

Head of Finance (f/m/d) *

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility for the areas of Accounting, Controlling, and Procurement
• Further development of the financial structure and ensuring the financing of the university
• Leadership of a team of approximately 10 employees
• Driving the structuring, automation, and optimization of processes in budgeting, reporting, and forecasting
• Further development of an integrated financial planning including P&L, balance sheet, liquidity, and cash planning
• Responsibility for multi-year planning and annual financial statements
• Support in the digitalization strategy and implementation of systems and AI technologies
• Collaboration with external financial partners (e.g., auditing firms) and acting as an interface to BMBWF, BMF, and the State of Upper Austria
• Reporting to the Ministry of Science and the Ministry of Finance

Your strengths and skills:

• Completed degree in business administration or a comparable qualification with a focus on Finance, Controlling, or Accounting
• Several years of experience in a senior financial position, ideally in a university-related or public sector environment
• Experience in the implementation and development of financial structures
• Proven track record in the optimization, automation, and digitalization of financial processes
• Confident handling of complex stakeholder landscapes
• Fluent in German and English with excellent presentation and communication skills

Competitive compensation starting from € 90.000 yearly gross salary, with the possibility of overpayment based on qualifications and experience.
