"Head of Governance & Compliance"

Murray Edwards College is seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Governance & Compliance to play a pivotal role in strengthening governance, transparency, accountability and regulatory assurance across the College.

This is a new position which will work closely with senior leadership, including the Council and Governing Body, to maintain high standards of governance, data protection, statutory compliance, and risk management.

You will bring solid experience in governance, compliance and organisational risk management, ideally gained through working with or supporting boards or committees. Strong analytical and administrative skills are essential, along with sound judgement and the ability to make well-informed decisions. You will be highly organised, capable of managing multiple deadlines, and confident maintaining accurate records. You work well independently and as part of a team, building constructive relationships across all levels of an organisation. Clear communication and a proactive approach to monitoring and following up on governance and compliance tasks are key to succeeding in this role. Experience in the charity or non-profit sector would be beneficial, though not essential.
