"Head of House"

The Governing Body of Magdalene College, Cambridge, invites applications for the position of Head of House, to take office on 1 October 2027. The appointment will be made by the end of July 2026 to allow for a period of transition.

The Head of House provides intellectual and strategic leadership for the College, fostering a vibrant academic community of Fellows, students, and staff. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold the traditions and values of the College while guiding its future development in a rapidly changing higher education environment.

Candidates should have distinguished academic standing or comparable leadership achievements and demonstrate the vision, integrity, and interpersonal skills necessary to inspire confidence within and beyond the College.

The appointment will be for a fixed term (normally 7 years) and will carry a stipend commensurate with the seniority and responsibilities of the role.
