We’re building a dynamic team of partnership professionals to turn our bold research vision into a reality and we’re seeking an exceptional Head of Relationship Management to lead this mission.

This is an excellent opportunity to help shape the future of interdisciplinary research at a world-leading university. You will lead a team of talented partnership managers, working closely with the School’s Co-Directors to forge and grow strategic relationships across philanthropy, foundations, industry, collaborators, and major funders.

As a key pillar of Imperial’s new Strategy, the School of Convergence Science will enhance our interdisciplinary capacity, global visibility, talent attraction, and funding, driving societal impact across four critical areas: Human and Artificial Intelligence; Health and Technology; Sustainability and Space, Security and Telecoms.

As Head of Relationship Management, some of your key responsibilities will be:

• Proactively leading the cultivation and stewardship of high-value partnerships across philanthropy, foundations, industry, and major funders. You will ensure that each theme has the external relationships and support needed to deliver on its vision and maximise its real-world impact.
• Driving the development and delivery of strategic impact plans for the four School of Convergence Science. You will take direct leadership of one theme, working closely with its Co-Directors to shape and execute a bold, outcomes-focused partnership strategy.

You may be the right fit for the role if you can demonstrate:

• A proven ability to identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with a diverse range of partners – including industry leaders, philanthropic organisations, foundations, and major funders – to support ambitious research goals.
• A strong ability to work closely with academic leaders and senior stakeholders, underpinned by a deep understanding of one or more thematic areas central to the School of Convergence Science. You’ll be able to translate complex, interdisciplinary research into compelling partnership opportunities, fostering collaboration across sectors and disciplines.
• A deep understanding of one or more thematic areas aligned with the School.
