Offer Description
The selected person will join as head of the Scientific-Technical Service (SCT) of Biostatistics of IRBLleida.
The mission of the service is to strengthen the efficiency and quality of research, transforming data into useful information through rigorous methodological advice, appropriate statistical analysis and responsible interpretation of results.
The selected person will carry out, among others, the following functions:
- Direct and coordinate the activity of the service, plan and prioritise requests, distribute workloads, supervise the unit's staff and ensure the availability of the necessary resources.
- Provide methodological advice in the definition of research questions and objectives, the choice of study design, the calculation of the sample size, the collection of data and the preparation of the statistical analysis plan.
- Develop and supervise the statistical analyses agreed with the research teams, select the most appropriate methodology and guarantee the technical quality of the results.
- Advise on the interpretation and communication of results and provide support in the preparation of reports, scientific articles, project reports and responses to reviewers.
- Participate in the definition, validation, debugging and integration of databases, promoting the traceability, quality, documentation and reproducibility of analyses.
- To work with multidisciplinary teams of basic, clinical and epidemiological research, and to maintain clear and continuous communication with the users of the service.
- Manage service requests, define their scope, deadlines and deliverables, and prepare budgets in accordance with the rates approved by IRBLleida.
- Monitor the activity, including controlling the availability of resources (necessary equipment and materials), invoicing the service, preparing budgets, updating the accounting statement and quality indicators, preparing and monitoring the strategic plan and preparing the necessary documentation for the application for subsidies for the service.
- To draw up and update procedures, protocols, tariffs, work plans and proposals for continuous improvement, guaranteeing confidentiality, data protection, impartiality and compliance with internal regulations.
- To organize and teach courses in Statistics and Research Methodology within the IRBLleida Training Plan.
- Participate in the Committees and Commissions that the position requires, with the purpose of ensuring the achievement of IRBLleida's objectives, complying with current legislation according to the subject matter in which it participates.
- Collaborate in other technical or management tasks related to the position entrusted to them by the Management, Management or Sub-Directorate.

Specific Requirements
Requirements
Applications that do not comply will be excluded from
- Bachelor's degree, bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or another related quantitative field. A degree in the field of health or experimental sciences complemented by a university master's degree in Biostatistics, Applied Statistics, Epidemiology, Research Methodology or equivalent will also be admitted.
- Ability to work professionally in Catalan and Spanish, orally and in writing, and knowledge of English equivalent to at least a C1 level.
These requirements must be met on the start date of the contract and must be accredited when required by IRBLleida.

Express selection process

This selection process will follow the same procedure as the ordinary one, but the duration of all phases of the process will be reduced, mainly the phase of publication of the job offer and submission of applications and the phase of evaluation and selection of personnel.
