Employees of UNCA are provided with a comprehensive benefits package as well as other resources, policies and programs to ensure a happy and healthy work/life balance. Benefit eligible employees have access to dental, vision and health insurance plans – eligibility begins on the first of the month following date of hire. Retirement plan contributions begin on the eligibility date following election and include employer contributions for either a defined contribution or a defined benefit plan. Position Summary:

This position is required to adhere to all policies and procedures of the department and the University, as well as the rules and regulations of the NCAA and Big South Conference.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:
This position requires possession of post baccalaureate credentials. May also consider a Bachelor’s degree and equivalent independent experience. A successful candidate will have collegiate golf experience as a coach, student-athlete, and/or professional level.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
Two to four years of collegiate golf experience as a coach and/or professional level. Experience in golf tournament administration and/or operations. Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills. Also knowledge and adherence to compliance with University, Big South Conference and NCAA Division I rules and regulations is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Ability to effectively coach and mentor students in assigned sport.
- Knowledge of successful recruitment cycles and best practices in a college or university setting.
- Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of the rules and regulations for playing and administration of assigned sport.
