Health Information Technology Instructor - Part-time Adjunct Pool

Kern Community College District is soliciting applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors. The starting salary range is $66.00/hour; Hourly rate may vary based on type of assignment and the Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula.

Representative Duties

This is for an adjunct pool that will be used to staff part-time adjunct positions. Bakersfield College is seeking dedicated, experienced, and motivated individuals to provide leadership, engagement, and discipline expertise in continuing to move the program forward in innovative ways.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide instruction in a full range of Health Information Technology and other Allied Health as needed. The primary assignment for Health Information Technology courses will be taught in an online format, but may include teaching courses at various locations, different times, and with different modalities.

Other duties include: participation in student recruitment and articulation of programs for Allied Health; maintaining subject matter currency; developing and revising curriculum; using computer and multimedia technology; assessing student learning and program learning outcomes; collegial participation in department, college, and discipline-specific professional activities.
